The Key Responsibilities Of The Role
- Manages investment activities for a full set of major fee revenue-producing accounts, representing small to mid-sized personal trusts and individual portfolios.
- Aids in the development and recommendations of investment strategies tailored to achieve specific client objectives.
- Analyzes and plans the overall investment strategy, revising plans as necessary based on changing goals and client needs.
- Works closely with the broader client service team to identify and execute on opportunities that benefit clients, co-trustees, consultants, the bank's legal area, and outside attorneys.
- Demonstrates proficiency with new investment strategies, tools, and capabilities through regular engagement with the National Investment and Goals Driven Wealth Management Practices and their peers.
- Advises on areas for improvement to leadership on national initiatives, changes, and expectations.
- Complies with National Investment Guidelines, REV peer review processes, and sound risk management practices.
- Solves complex problems related to investment and portfolio management.
The Successful Candidate
- Must possess knowledge of investment and portfolio management theory, accounting, and financial principles, along with experience in various investment strategies and instruments.
- Requires decision-making, sales, and negotiation skills to contribute to the market’s revenue generation and handle sensitive or difficult situations.
- Has a minimum of 6 to 8 years of investment experience, including research, where consistent long-term investment performance has met objectives.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
