Porters (Hiring All Shifts)

Porters are essential in ensuring facilities are clean, organized, and safe for customers and staff. The role involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold the high standards of LV Petroleum.

Walk‑in interviews are held weekdays from 11 am – 4 pm at the travel center located at 3400 S US Highway 287, Decatur, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize public restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas regularly.
• Perform daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and meetings held at the facilities.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, alerting management when reordering is necessary.
• Support minor maintenance tasks and promptly report any significant issues to the maintenance team.
• Engage with guests and staff positively, providing assistance to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in custodial or cleaning roles is an advantage, though not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lb.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
