About the role

The Domain Companies is a national real estate development and investment firm dedicated to making a positive and lasting impact on communities through innovative projects like affordable, mixed-income, and luxury apartments, among others. We are looking for a Porter to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the property is clean and tidy both inside and out, with timely trash pickup.
• Follow safety programs and policies to maintain a safe working environment for team members and residents.
• Communicate with the maintenance team and residents regarding issues and property events.
• Assist with unit turns to prepare new homes for residents.
• Participate in community events and assist with event setup and teardown.
• Solve problems proactively and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Customer-centric with a warm demeanor, positive attitude, and impeccable follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to plan and prioritize efficiently, motivate/lead team members, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Maintain an organized filing system and office areas.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation required (New Orleans).
• Knowledge of the city and local transportation options.
• Fluent in the English language.
• Basic knowledge of technology, including Microsoft Office.
