PORTER (PART TIME)
About the role
Canteen is hiring a part-time PORTER immediately. The position is located at Canteen - 1050 Miller Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule is part-time, Monday through Wednesday, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, and Thursday and Friday, 7:30 am to 11:00 am. Previous stockroom or coffee breakroom experience is preferred. Responsibilities
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage station.
- Ensures tables are bussed, cleared, and cleaned during peak service times and prepped before service.
- Fulfills safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs, or carts.
- Washes dishes, glasses, and pots; cleans cooking stations and equipment to expedite service while maintaining sanitation standards.
- Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and places them in racks or on conveyors to dishwashing machines depending on assigned equipment.
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of display equipment.
- Helps receive heavy deliveries from the dock and transports them to assigned storage areas while observing safe lifting standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
- Personal commitment to safety and that of others.
- Absides by all Company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Previous stockroom or coffee breakroom experience is preferred.

Pay
$15.00 per hour to $17.00 per hour.
