Porter - Make Ready Tech

About the role

The Porter / Make Ready Technician performs routine upkeep of the apartment community including buildings, amenities, and surrounding areas, ensuring a welcoming impression for residents, guests, and team members on-site.

Responsibilities

• Meticulous upkeep and trash removal of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and community common areas.
• Absorb and prepare units including trash removal from vacant apartments.
• Complete weather preparation and clean up as needed.
• Organize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies in a cost-effective manner.
• Present an appearance appropriate to the image of the company.
• Complete additional tasks or duties assigned by community leadership.

Qualifications

• Professional Experience: Minimum of one year of Porter experience preferred.
• A valid U.S. driver's license is required.
• High school education or equivalent is preferred.
• Accurately perform basic mathematical functions.
• Beginner computer and Internet knowledge preferred.
• Ability to use on-site resident management software preferred.

Physical Demands

• Physical demands may include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The team member will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands.
• The team member may occasionally be required to climb.

Special Requirements

• Driver License Background Check: Candidates must successfully pass a driver license background check as part of the hiring process to ensure that all employees who will be operating a company vehicle meet necessary safety standards.

Attendance/Travel

This position is a full-time position and may require the availability to work some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. Regular attendance and active participation/planning at company functions and events is also required.
