About the role
The Porter/Maintenance role is crucial in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the community's facilities. This position requires a combination of manual labor, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Aid in scheduled inspections of the Clubhouse, Pool Venue, and common areas.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks as directed.
- Maintain the Pool Venue, parks, and common areas according to established schedules.
- Set up and take down tables and chairs for events.
- Carry out custodial/janitorial duties in designated areas.
- Report maintenance needs to the Maintenance Manager.
- Assist with homeowner property and common area inspections (when needed).
- Interact with residents and enforce compliance with rules and regulations.
- Support the Maintenance Manager in scheduling and communicating with vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in maintenance, custodial work, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance, cleaning procedures, and repair work.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as required.
- Strong attention to detail and independent working abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate necessary equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Frequent stooping, standing, walking, sitting, and reaching are required.
- Ability to bend and lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 20 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing).
- Rotating "On-Call" service as required.
- Occasional overtime work required due to emergency situations.
- Smoke-free environment maintained within the Association's premises.
Work Schedule
After training, the work schedule is Saturday - Wednesday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
Training Schedule
The initial training period is Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM for one week.
Salary
$17.00-$19.00/hr
