About the role

The heavy duty porter is responsible for deep cleaning kitchens at Turfway Park.

Responsibilities

• Prepares ovens, sinks and other dirty restaurant equipment for cleaning
• Uses ice, water and cleaning solvent in the cleaning of restaurant kitchen equipment
• Empties trash in kitchens
• Washes and scrubs kitchen floors
• Cleans food scraps from kitchen areas
• Follows all required safety and standard operating procedures
• Asks supervisor or other employees for help when needed
• Performs other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs consistently
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and perform routine physical activities
• Must meet company appearance standards
• Ability to work with cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
• Ability to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to obtain KY Racing License
