Porter/Entry Level Technician

About the role

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled FULL TIME (40 hours per week) ENTRY LEVEL Porter/Maintenance Technician in Denton, MD.

Responsibilities

• Grounds keeping of the community
• Cleaning of all common areas
• Assisting with technical matters related to basic apartment maintenance
• Completing basic technical apartment maintenance tickets
• Assisting with unit turnovers
• Part of the after-hours on-call rotation
• Cleaning the building
• Responsible for apartment turn-over's and cleanliness
• Must be able to understand and oversee work performed by contractors

Qualifications

• Energetic, self-motivated individual who is able to work as a team
• Some experience with apartment maintenance or similar industry desired; basic appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting desired
• Must be able to work independently and also as a member of a team
• Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times – experience dealing with the public
• Must have reliable transportation and possess valid driver's license
• Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation
• Willingness to assist at other locations in the immediate area, as needed
