Porter day shift

Full-time position with day and evening shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment/tools such as vacuums, mops, dust mops, brooms, sweepers, extractors, scrubbers, and general floor care equipment.
• Remove trash by emptying trash containers; transport materials to disposal area.
• Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition.
• Work in residential and common areas, public washrooms, pool, and other recreational areas.
• Handle various cleaning chemicals and comply with regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department.
• Read and understand MSDS and labels.
• Follow required procedures for handling, cleaning, and disposing of materials or cleaning blood and body fluids in accordance with OSHA bloodborne pathogens standards.
• Maintain daily and project schedules; notify manager of any changes.
• Assist with leakage or spills as requested.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and tasks as scheduled.
• Demonstrate the ability to interact appropriately with residents and work in a timely, efficient manner.

Requirements

• Experience in housekeeping, maintenance, or grounds preferred.
• Previous experience working in senior living or long-term care preferred.
