Position Summary
The Porter CDL driver is extremely detailed, exhibits a high sense of accountability for workload, and enjoys process improvement and management. The Porter CDL manages multiple tasks and priorities and is a self-motivated individual who can actively engage and is accountable for the safety and security of all company property under their care. In this role, you will move and park buses, vans and other vehicles on our lot, in addition to delivering them to various locations within the metropolitan area of the designated branch, or to other client or company locations, as assigned. As a porter, your duties include keeping track of parked vehicles and making sure that the parking lot is neat and presentable. To ensure success as a porter, you should exhibit safe driving skills and have experience working with fleet vehicles and internal and external customers. Ultimately, a top-notch porter is someone who can be entrusted with valuable property.
Essential Functions
- Maintain an organized and professional parking lot by conducting daily lot organization and monitoring
- Complete check-out and return inspections for all rental vehicles accurately and in a timely manner
- Identify, document, and report any vehicle damage upon return
- Ensure the back lot remains organized, clean, and properly staged
- Move and stage vehicles as needed to support daily operations and customer needs
- Pick up and deliver customer vehicles when required
- Fuel vehicles and top off all necessary fluids to maintain rental readiness
- Transport vehicles between vendors, customers, and designated staging areas
- Aid the Detailer with cleaning and preparing vehicles as needed
- Support overall rental readiness by ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, inspected, and ready for customer use
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
- Communicate any vehicle concerns, maintenance needs, or operational issues to management promptly

Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Required Education/Experience/Certifications
- Valid Driving License CDL with passenger endorsement
- DOT Medical certification
- Participation in the DOT drug and alcohol screening, as well as internal screening and safety requirement
Preferred Education/Experience/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Environment
- Office and Outside in a variety of conditions

- Within metropolitan area of assigned company location, driving company vehicles
