Porter
Position Description
The Porter is responsible for keeping the residential building, SRO units, and public areas of the residential building neat and organized. This is a full-time position (5) days a week on-site.
Responsibilities
- Regular maintenance (mopping, vacuuming, cleaning walls, handrails, surfaces, doors, collecting garbage)
- Regular cleaning of the elevator (including, but not limited to: walls, interior and exterior doors, door-tracks)
- Regular maintenance of all shared bathrooms on the mezzanine, the lobby, and the resident floors (clean all surfaces, mop floors, empty garbage, assure adequate supplies of paper products and soap)
- Maintain cleaning checklists
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Abilities
- Ability to work in a multicultural and diverse environment
- Ability to perform job responsibilities
- Ability to speak, read, and write English (as required by DSS regulation 487.9.13)
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- A combination of education and relevant experience
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb and lift up to 30lbs.
