Weinstein Properties, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, owns and manages over 60 apartment communities in Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia. Still family‑owned after 70+ years, the company emphasizes a hands‑on approach to daily operations and a focus on customer experience. This Porter / Groundskeeper position will be placed at one of their beautiful communities in Nashville, TN.

Pay

Hourly rates are competitive, starting at $18/hour, plus quarterly bonuses. After 90 days of employment and good standing, employees are eligible for a $1,000 “stay‑on” bonus (details discussable with the recruiter).

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

Responsibilities

• Picking up trash and litter
• Cleaning pet waste stations
• Trashing out apartments
• Performing light painting and housekeeping tasks as needed
• Supporting maintenance team when required
• Keeping the community clean, beautiful, and welcoming
• Performing daily, recurring duties such as litter and pet waste pickup

Requirements

• Reliable, detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and takes pride in work
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be a self‑starter
• Strong attention to detail and proactive issue identification
• Strong work ethic – willing to complete dirty or repetitive tasks
• Team player – communicates and collaborates with maintenance and leasing teams
• Positive attitude and pride in maintaining the property
• Adaptable and versatile – willing to take on various responsibilities such as light painting, housekeeping, or supporting maintenance
• Growth mindset – open to learning new skills with potential to advance into maintenance tech or other roles
• Physically able to stand and walk for prolonged periods
• Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds or more
• Comfortable using hand tools and operating equipment (backpack blowers, power washers, golf carts/trailers)
• Able to bend, stoop, and perform planting, weeding, and outdoor maintenance tasks
• Able to work outdoors year‑round in inclement weather (heat, cold, rain, humidity)
• Able to tolerate loud noise levels at times
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
