Porter

About the Role

The Porter (Yard Driver) is responsible for safely transporting light/medium duty trucks around our yard, operating light/medium heavy-duty equipment, and ensuring the yard is organized and hazard-free. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with team members, and adhering to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport light/medium duty trucks around the yard, into the building, and to outside service centers.
• Operate light/medium heavy-duty equipment, including moving trailers in tight spaces (up to 3-Ton/Medium Duty).
• Perform regular inspection and maintenance of assigned equipment and report issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lot, removing debris and hazards.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure vehicles are in appropriate locations and ready for use.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Work in outside conditions, including inclement weather year-round.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as needed.
• Implement and uphold 5S principles (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain) within the workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility with changing schedules and priorities.
• Good verbal communication skills to interact with employees, customers, and service providers.

Qualifications

• CDL (Nice to Have)
• Previous porter/transportation experience (Nice to Have)

Location: Onsite - Fort Worth

Compensation: Hourly rate of $20.70 + Overtime

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
