Responsibilities

• Perform administrative work each morning as assigned by the PM or Support Center, including prescribed online training, reviewing “My Pennrose” updates, reviewing messages from the executive team/ownership, participating in “Team Meetings,” etc.
• Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other community buildings.
• Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily.
• Assist in preparing market-ready units, including removing trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) before making-ready.
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager and perform assigned maintenance tasks promptly.
• Assist in the cleaning of available apartments and or models.
• Assist in cleaning shared area bathrooms, hallway/breezeway floors, and elevators.
• Assist the maintenance team with snow removal (If applicable).
• Assist in the troubleshooting/repair of mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems.
• Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain all trash rooms, enclosures, compactors, containers, and surrounding areas.
• Aid in the Supportive Services program to ensure its success.
• Support the Pennrose Academy efforts to enhance staff technical expertise.
• Ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected promptly.
• Learn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal safety rules.
• Immediately report all unsafe conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED - preferred
• One year of property maintenance responsibilities, or similar experience
• Requires a valid driver’s license, an insured vehicle, and the ability to travel (between properties)
• Ability to work periodic flexible hours
• Ability to travel by plane and automobile
• Ability to work at property locations within or near transitional neighborhoods
• Ability to climb stairs, take elevators, bend, squat and reach overhead, and meet standard mobility and lifting for tasks typically associated with property maintenance
