Key Job Responsibilities

• Patrols property daily to identify areas in need of cleaning and completes required work—remove trash/debris from property grounds and common areas, keep the dumpster area clean, and vacuum, sweep and mop
• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents—clean appliances, kitchen cabinets, sink and floors, bathroom—including toilet, tub, sink and floor, windows, front door, and performs touch-up painting as necessary
• Maintains grounds—weed removal, grass-cutting and planting, snow and leaf removal from property—sidewalks, walkways, steps and driveways/parking spaces
• Cleans property office as necessary—empty trash, vacuum carpets, clean bathroom and kitchen
• Completes janitorial requirements in accordance with the janitorial schedule
• Aids maintenance technicians in performing preventive maintenance, capital improvements or satisfying work orders as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One year of general maintenance experience in preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations is preferred
• Ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language
• Ability to follow direction and work independently in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• ANSI approved steel-toe/composite shoes
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to assist with other properties within the portfolio and surrounding portfolios as needed (willing to travel up to 10% of the time)

Pay

$15.00 - $17.75 an hour, plus bonus potential
