Porter

About the role

The Porter is an integral part of our maintenance team. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the community which includes, but is not limited to, the community models, vacant units and public access areas like the office and clubhouse.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning apartments after move-out and preparing them for new residents.
• Removing all trash from grounds daily.
• Sweeping sidewalks and driveways on a regular basis.
• Watering trees, trimming grass and shrubs, and supporting the maintenance team with make-readies.
• Lending a hand to housekeeping when necessary.
• Replacing light bulbs.
• Distributing flyers and letters to residents if necessary.
• Assisting in keeping the Maintenance shop clean.
• Ensuring the security of the property at all times.
• Keeping all keys to the property in his/her personal possession and refusing to hand the keys to any unauthorized person.

Requirements

• Active and valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.
• Available on notice in event of snow and/or ice and other on-site emergencies.
• Up to one-month related experience or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a good driving record.

Pay

Pay Range: $18.00-$20.00/Hr.

Schedule

Hours vary based on the needs of the community and may include evenings and weekends.
