About the role
Lifestyle Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Porter to elevate the resident and community experience at one of our luxury apartment communities. This role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, safety, and functionality in common areas, buildings, and amenities while supporting the maintenance team.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare units prior to resident move-ins and assist with trash collection.
- Pick up debris in hallways, around buildings, parking garages, corridors, elevator lobbies, and amenity spaces.
- Clean restrooms, common areas, and the leasing office as designated by the Community Manager.
- Vacuum and mop hallways, corridors, and stairwells.
- Assist with snow and ice removal from building walkways and parking areas.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and order supplies in conjunction with the maintenance team.
- Assist with minor repairs such as changing light bulbs and paint touch-ups.
- Correct unsafe conditions promptly, including addressing unlocked/inoperable doors and slip hazards.
- Assist with picking up dog waste on-site alongside the maintenance team.
- Monitor amenity spaces after hours to ensure compliance with designated usage times.
- Respond to after-hours noise complaints and lockouts as needed.
- Conduct building walks to check doors and windows for security.
Requirements
- High school degree.
- Previous porter experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Ability to operate company equipment, including golf carts and maintenance vehicles.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The role requires significant mobility (walking, climbing, stooping), manual dexterity (using tools, operating equipment), and strength (lifting up to 50 lbs., sometimes more with assistance). Employees may be exposed to noise, chemicals, temperature extremes, and varied environments, including office settings and project work sites. Stamina, good vision, and occasional long periods of standing or walking are necessary.
