Porter

About the role

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a Part Time Porter in Salisbury, Maryland for Village at Mitchell Pond Apartments for approximately 20 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the building and grounds clean
• Assisting the Maintenance Technicians when needed
• Assisting with technical maintenance tickets
• Assisting with unit turnovers
• Being part of the after-hours on-call rotation

Requirements

• Basic maintenance experience
• Energetic, self-motivated individual who is able to work as a team
• Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting are a plus
• Ability to work independently and also as a member of a team

The Porter directly reports to the Community Manager. Hourly wage is dependent on experience.
