Golden Nugget Lake Charles is a luxury casino-resort that opened in December 2014. The property features nearly 1,100 well-appointed hotel rooms and suites with private balconies, an eighteen-hole championship golf course, a private beach and marina, and a luxurious pool complex with private cabanas, a waterslide, and lazy river. Patrons enjoy a 2000-seat entertainment showroom, a variety of meeting spaces, retail shopping, and multiple Landry’s signature restaurants. The resort also includes a world-class casino with over 70 table games, a poker room, and 1,600 slot machines.

It owns and operates Golden Nugget Hotels and Casinos in Las Vegas, Laughlin, Atlantic City, and Biloxi, as well as over 420 restaurants across 35 states and 15 countries under brands like Rainforest Cafe, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Landry’s Seafood House, Bubba Gump, Morton’s – The Steakhouse, and more. The company also operates hospitality and entertainment businesses, including hotels, aquariums, the Kemah Boardwalk, and the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Clean, sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, polish walls, floors, and fixtures within the facility.
• Operate riding and walk-behind floor cleaning power equipment while shampooing rugs, stripping, or refinishing floors with non-toxic chemicals.
• Pick up and dispose of trash and refuse.
• Set up, move, and/or install furniture and pipe-n-drapes.
• Provide quality customer service to patrons/guests and occasionally perform work with minimal supervision.
• Assist other departmental personnel and perform special projects as assigned.
• Stay knowledgeable of Golden Nugget’s policies, procedures, and operations.
• Stay abreast of current trends and practices within your area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports, and employees as appropriate.
• Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within your area of responsibility.
• Safeguard the confidential information of all employee, department, and company records.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
• Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous public area cleaning experience or related experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere that makes guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.
• Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities to help achieve organizational goals.
• Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm while projecting a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay

USD $13.00 - USD $15.00 per hour. This is a non-tipped position.
