About the role
We're seeking a talented Porter to join our team at Avenue5 Residential. This position involves meticulous upkeep of the grounds, amenities, and building exteriors, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter on a daily basis.
- Absorb and prepare market-ready units for showings.
- Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, and other areas as needed.
- Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and clearing after inclement weather.
- Clean available apartments and model homes and common areas of the community, as directed.
- Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather conditions.
- Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal.
- Interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents.

- Clearly and immediately report any maintenance and/or life safety issues identified while performing regular assigned duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Must comply with all safety requirements.
- Complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.
- Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt, and operate a commercial snow blower.
- Passionate for meticulous curb appeal.
