About the role

We're seeking a dedicated porter to join our team at Avenue5 Residential. This position involves maintaining the grounds, amenities, and building exteriors of our properties, ensuring they are clean and appealing to attract residents.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and debris from office areas and property perimeters daily.
• Absorb and prepare market-ready units for potential residents.
• Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, and other communal areas.
• Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal, fire, and flood response.
• Clean available apartments, model homes, and common areas as directed.
• Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather conditions.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Interact courteously and professionally with residents and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality and foster positive relationships with residents and other properties.
• Report and address any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle and defuse difficult situations.
• Professional appearance and compliance with uniform policy.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Completion and successful passing of the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt, and operate a commercial snow blower.
• Passionate about maintaining meticulous curb appeal.
