Porter

About the role

We're seeking a talented Porter to join our team. This position involves maintaining the grounds, amenities, and building exteriors of our properties, ensuring they are clean and attractive. You'll also assist with property emergencies and interact with residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and debris from office areas and property perimeter daily.
• Absorb and prepare market-ready units for showings.
• Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, and other areas as needed.
• Assist with property emergencies like snow removal, ice melt application, and responding to fires or floods.
• Clean available apartments, model homes, and common areas as directed.
• Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather conditions.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents.
• Maintain confidentiality and foster positive relationships with residents, other properties, and associated agencies.
• Clearly and promptly report any maintenance or life safety issues.
• Complete and pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
• Operate a commercial snow blower and shovel snow as necessary.
• Passionate about maintaining meticulous curb appeal.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle and de-escalate difficult situations.
• Professional appearance and compliance with uniform policy.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Compliance with all safety requirements.
• Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt, and operate a commercial snow blower.
• Passionate about meticulous curb appeal.

Pay

$19 to $21 per hour.

Schedule

Tuesday-Saturday | 8:00am-4:00pm

Qualifications

Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy. Must maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance. Must comply with all safety requirements. Must complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.
