Porter (31815)

Responsibilities

• Transport patients via the use of a wheelchair to the patient pick-up area.
• Retrieves patient family members from the waiting area and escorts them to patient recovery room after completion of procedures.
• Maintains soiled linen utility room for cleanliness, including stretcher cleaning and cleaning of the PACU room.
• Stocks procedure rooms with the necessary linens to be used for the next day.
• Sanitizes patient beds by cleaning and changing linens after each patient use.
• Sanitizes patient wheelchairs on a regular basis.
• Ensures that hand sanitizing stations are stocked with the appropriate supplies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• Experience: One year of work experience is preferred.
• Performance Requirements: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; proficient technical (computer) skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize; self-motivated with initiative; strong sense of ethics.
