About the role
Provide instructional services necessary to educate all students to high standards that align with district state and federal requirements guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district and state standards.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance educational programs.
- Engage in professional development activities to improve teaching skills.
- Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Requirements
- Valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR eligibility to obtain an alternative teaching credential.
- Knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.
- Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention covering appropriate grades and Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement (requires 25 hours of approved Science of Reading training).

Pay
- Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
- School Year
- Work Hours: Elementary Schools - 7:45am-3:45pm; Middle and High Schools - 7:10am-3:10pm.
- Half days Monday through Friday at each school.
- Portage & Kekionga.
