About the role

Provide instructional services necessary to educate all students to high standards that align with district state and federal requirements guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district and state standards.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance educational programs.
• Engage in professional development activities to improve teaching skills.
• Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Requirements

• Valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR eligibility to obtain an alternative teaching credential.
• Knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.
• Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention covering appropriate grades and Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement (requires 25 hours of approved Science of Reading training).

Pay

• Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

• School Year
• Work Hours: Elementary Schools - 7:45am-3:45pm; Middle and High Schools - 7:10am-3:10pm.
• Half days Monday through Friday at each school.
• Portage & Kekionga.
