Reports to: Route Supervisor, Route Manager, or Operations Supervisor.

About the role

Operates a company service truck and drives to various locations to service, pump, or clean portable restrooms or holding tanks. Work is performed under supervision and reviewed through direct observation of routes and discussion of problems.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drives service truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information in accordance with Decision Driving principles.
  • Delivers and returns portable restrooms, services portable restrooms, holding tanks, sinks, showers, etc., at various work sites by following the Company's servicing guidelines. Drains moisture trap, oil catch muffler, and maintains oil level in pump. Empties truck at pump station as needed.
  • Restocks paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc., in units being serviced.
  • Cleans interior and exterior of units, makes repairs as needed, and adds chemical solution to portable restroom units.
  • Provides courteous and expeditious customer service, exhibiting a positive attitude toward company, customer, and municipal goals.
  • Answers customer questions and directs them to contact Customer Service or Dispatch for additional information.
  • Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines. Completes Safety Lane activity and DVIR daily in accordance with Waste Pro safety lane guidelines, including inspection under the hood, checking undercarriage, fluid levels, and tire pressure.
  • Maintains clean truck and washes exterior weekly. Inspects and cleans truck by lifting the hood, inspecting under the hood, walking around and checking undercarriage, pumping gas, checking fluid levels, and airing tires using appropriate tools.
  • Prepares, maintains, and submits required company and regulation-mandated reports and documents.
  • Performs other tasks as required, such as assisting other routes for completion, attending community events, or delivering bins and/or carts.
  • Responsible for all persons working on the vehicle during the designated route.
  • Complies with all Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
  • May be required to work during emergency situations.
