Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on Poromerics production equipment, including but not limited to presses, mixers, coating machines, and drying ovens.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on complex manufacturing machinery.
  • Execute corrective maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Utilize schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to identify problems and implement solutions.
  • Calibrate and adjust equipment to meet precise manufacturing specifications.
  • Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with production operators and engineers to identify potential equipment improvements and process optimizations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company environmental policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new equipment.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new Poromerics equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance calls outside of regular hours as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Certified Welder.
  • Certified Millwright or willingness to become certified.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
