About the Role

We're partnering with leading AI research teams to build smarter, more accurate health AI — and we need population health experts to help get it right. As a Population Health Informaticist, you'll apply your expertise in health data and analytics to evaluate, shape, and improve AI systems designed to understand and act on population-level health information.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated population health analyses for accuracy, completeness, and clinical relevance
  • Review and assess data pipelines, dashboards, and health reporting frameworks produced by AI systems
  • Identify gaps, errors, or missed insights in AI outputs related to health trends, disparities, and community outcomes
  • Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves how AI models reason about population health
  • Apply your domain knowledge to help AI understand complex public health concepts, surveillance data, and intervention strategies

Who You Are

  • Experienced working with healthcare, public health, or population-level datasets
  • Strong analytical thinker with the ability to evaluate data quality and identify meaningful patterns
  • Skilled in data visualization and health reporting — familiar with dashboards and surveillance tools
  • Able to translate complex health data into clear, actionable insights
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently on structured tasks

Nice to Have

  • Background in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health informatics, or health policy
  • Experience with data annotation, quality assurance, or evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with EHR systems, claims data, or social determinants of health datasets
  • Prior work with AI or machine learning projects in a health context

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs and health data teams
  • Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, flexibility, and meaningful global collaboration
  • Apply your public health expertise to a domain that's shaping the future of AI-driven health decision-making
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
