We're looking for a dedicated and dependable Full-Time Fry Cook to join our Popeyes kitchen team!

About the role

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking our famous Louisiana-style fried chicken and other menu items to perfection. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, take pride in quality, and thrive on teamwork—this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook Popeyes menu items following standardized recipes and portion guidelines.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and food prep areas.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation practices at all times.
  • Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients by rotating and restocking supplies.
  • Prepare breading and seasoning mixtures for chicken and other items.
  • Aid in inventory tracking and food storage organization.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to fulfill customer orders quickly and accurately.
  • Help train new team members on kitchen procedures when needed.
  • Minimize food waste through proper portioning and product handling.
  • Communicate any equipment issues or safety concerns to management.
  • Demonstrate reliability by maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Support the team as needed in other areas of the restaurant.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand for long periods, talk, listen, and use hands for handling kitchen equipment and food items.
  • Frequently required to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to safely handle raw poultry products.
  • Must maintain reliable and consistent attendance.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfortable using kitchen equipment and handling hot items.
  • Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire).
  • ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a quickservice or fastcasual restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Experience with inventory management and control.
