About the role

The Popcorn and Sweets Production Clerk plays a crucial part in the efficient and high-quality production of commissary goods in our busy kitchen. This role supports multiple Lee’s Marketplace locations, retail outlets, and event centers by preparing over 6 different popcorn flavors, cotton candy, fudge, and more.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up, adjust, and operate bakery production equipment.
• Help with the production, development, preparation, and maintenance of commissary items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Accurately measure, mix, cook, and package products according to established recipes and batch sizes.
• Assist with production runs to meet demand forecasts and adjust as necessary.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Train commissary staff and foster a positive team environment.
• Collaborate with other commissary staff to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Complete orders through digital and in-person systems.
• Monitor batch consistency, cooking times, temperatures, and product output.
• Ensure products are correctly labeled and packaged.
• Minimize product waste and dispose of it properly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Contribute to the cleaning responsibilities in the department.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment issues.
• Comply with food safety regulations.
• Communicate and support the Lee’s Marketplace Mission statement and Core Values.
• Attend departmental, store, and company meetings as required.
• Work in a fast-paced, sometimes crowded, production environment with tact and patience.
• Ensure products are sold well before their expiration date.
• Promote a harassment-free environment and report any potential harmful situations.

Requirements

• Age 18+
• Available: 4:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday
• Food handlers permit required
• Ability to stand, walk, twist, sit, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, handle small objects, and operate equipment.
• Strong self-motivation, analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Good math skills, reading, writing, and verbal communication abilities.
