Job Overview
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, personalized service to cabana guests or guests at the pool, ensuring a premium experience.
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner at the pool, lounge chairs, and cabanas.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and deliver them promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Present menus, share daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Prepare and serve beverages and ensure that the cabanas, cart, and coolers are adequately stocked.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and pool area.
- Keep all condiment containers clean and filled.
- Receive and visually inspect guest checks for any inaccuracies, then close the check to the proper method of payment.
- Absorb and assist in food preparation as required.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products, as assigned, to adhere to health standards.
- Abside by all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Perform all side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking kitchen shelves with supplies.
- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to provide high-touch guest service in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous food and beverage, poolside, or hospitality experience preferred.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Navigate wet surfaces and outdoor conditions safely.
