Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standards of guest service by ensuring quick, efficient, and professional food runner/buffet attendant services.
- Verify complete orders on tickets to food on cold and hot lines.
- Deliver food to correct tables according to tickets, floor plans, and seat numbers.
- Inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform servers or managers.
- Set up expo line with specified items.
- Consult with supervisors on any food delivery difficulties.
- Complete all side duties as assigned.
- Minimize breakage.
- Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
- Set up and breakdown of breakfast buffet according to time allotted.
- Maintain and replenish breakfast buffet items, ensuring they are always full, clean, and presentable.
- Secure all breakfast vehicles such as platters, butter dishes, bread knives as directed by manager or posted inside work.
- Place and receive warehouse orders daily and ensure proper par levels of product.
- Ensure all products are within date and use the FIFO method of storage.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
- Good eye/hand coordination needed to use all kitchen equipment.
- Requires a working knowledge of sanitation standards.
- Prepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production.
- Works cohesively with the entire hotel staff as part of a team.
- Supports procedures for food & beverage portion and waste controls.
- Maintains all coolers and freezers, prep areas, and equipment up to State of Florida Health Department codes at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift to 70 pounds.
- Able to be on your feet for up to eight hours.
- Exposure to interior and exterior of hotel, weather conditions, restaurant, and kitchen environments.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Exposure to food and beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to food items and beverages.
- Use of tools and equipment such as coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, hotbox, queen-Mary cart, utility cart, flatbed cart, chafers, heating unit, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator.
