About the Role

The Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (Pool DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency and mastery of core competencies, including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. This role delivers patient- and family-centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient- and family-centered care using evidence-based practice standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in core competencies such as assessment, critical thinking, communication, and leadership.
• Adhere to departmental and organizational policies, including shift, weekend, and holiday requirements.
• Complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent for independent practice.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred; see additional qualifications for exceptions).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 18 months of experience as an RN.

Additional Qualifications

• RNs hired prior to specific dates (2/1/2012 for South, 10/1/2017 for Bethesda, 10/1/2023 for Boca, 7/1/2018 for Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN for non-leadership roles.
• RNs hired after these dates with an Associate’s degree must complete a BSN within 3 years of hire.

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $47.00 per hour.
