About the role
The Pool Host & Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the pool and beach areas while delivering exceptional guest service. This role helps create a memorable resort experience by ensuring guests enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of the pool area, including daily skimming and routine upkeep.
- Keep the pool deck clean, organized, and guest-ready by:
- Straightening lounge chairs
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Removing used towels
- Emptying ashtrays and other receptacles as needed
- Place rolled towels on unoccupied lounge chairs to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the beach area, ensuring it remains free of trash, food service items, beach toys, and other debris.
- Provide complimentary water service to guests and replenish beverages as needed to support a full-service poolside experience.
- Keep the towel station fully stocked and organized, removing used towels throughout the day.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks using approved resort cleaning products and procedures.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and assist with unexpected cleaning needs or spills.
- Remove and replace garbage bags from pool and beach areas as necessary.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Previous hospitality, resort, or customer service experience preferred.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexible and dependable with the ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
- Knowledge of resort layout and amenities preferred.
- Ability to understand and communicate basic English to assist guests and follow safety procedures.
- Must be able to successfully complete golf cart training and safely operate a golf cart.
- Must adhere to all resort policies regarding safety, uniforms, grooming, and professional conduct.
Skills
- Knowledge of pool cleaning equipment and maintenance practices.

- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Understanding and application of the resort's guest service standards, including the 10-5-3 hospitality rule.
Schedule
As a luxury hospitality destination operating 24/7, our resort requires team members who can offer flexibility in their schedules. Most roles involve working a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
