Pool Gate Attendant (end of season)

Part-time, end-of-season position in the Aquatics department.

About the role

The primary objective of the Gatekeeper is to greet members and guests entering the Irving Park and Carlson Farm Pools. You will be responsible for checking in all members and their guests while maintaining a positive member experience through exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and sign in members.
• Check for accurate member names and numbers of pool patrons.
• Enforce the Club's pool guest policy.
• Charge guest fees as appropriate and schedule swim lessons.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service, extending exemplary service to all members and their guests, including promotion of aquatic programs such as swim team and swim lessons.
• Monitor all entrances to the pool and direct members to the sign-in area before entering the water.
• Bid farewell to members upon departure and inquire about their enjoyment at the pool.
• Keep the main entrance to the pool clean and tidy by completing daily duties.
• Be punctual and neat in appearance before beginning each shift.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• During opening, closing, and slow periods, perform and assist with duties related to the support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Manager or Shift Leader.
• Maintain a safe environment; clean or repair spills and other dangerous conditions immediately.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification or willingness to obtain before the season begins.

Pay

$10.00 - $11.00 per hour
