About the role
The POOL-BUS DRIVER position is available at the Central Area Transportation in the Brevard County School Board's Human Resources Services.
Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and efficiently to transport students to and from school.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during transportation.
- Load and unload students and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members.
- Maintain bus cleanliness and ensure all necessary maintenance is performed.
Requirements
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- At least two years of experience driving school buses or similar vehicles.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Knowledge of safe driving practices.
- Ability to handle stress and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills.
