Our culture is caring and thoughtful, delivering good-natured and informed service that evokes a sense of fulfillment and well-being. As a Pool Barback, you will be an extension of the bartender, assisting in all beverage service tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service, including arranging bottles, glassware, and bar tools.
- Stock and replenish bar inventory (liquor, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies) to ensure bartenders have everything needed for drink preparation.
- Prepare garnishes (citrus wedges, olives, herbs) according to established recipes and standards, ensuring freshness and presentation.
- Monitor and manage ice supply, ensuring ice bins are filled and machines are functioning properly.
- Support bartenders during service by fetching items, clearing empty glasses/bottles, and assisting with guest requests.
- Follow all company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance issues, hazards, or accidents; complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Uphold the 1 Hotels Vision, Mission, and Compass; deliver Good-Natured Service and embody the brand’s pillars.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements
- Prior barback experience.
- Organized and proficient at multitasking.
- Reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Proficient in verbal and written English communication.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment).
- Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation, including holidays and weekends.
