About the role
The Pool & Beach Attendant oversees the pool and beach area, makes safety announcements, and maintains an inventory of all poolside equipment to ensure it is always available for guest use. This role also serves residents by providing information and services within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Oversees pool area (adult/children) and makes safety announcements.
- Assists with setting up and breakdown for poolside activities as needed.
- Submits and reports incidents to the appropriate manager.
- Provides excellent customer service to residents and guests.
- Picks up debris from the pool and performs basic cleaning tasks.
- Checks sports equipment to ensure it is in working order for guests.
- Reports broken sports equipment to the manager for replacement.
- Works effectively as a team member.
- Remains accessible and approachable to residents and guests.
- Follows the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and related procedures.
- Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Completion of college-level courses in Hospitality is strongly desirable.
- Two or more years of experience in the Hospitality Industry.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Multiple language fluency is desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
- Walk and climb stairs.
- Handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and equipment.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information verbally and in writing.
- Navigate the property and building quickly and easily as required.
- Respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
