About the Role

Conducts and interprets polysomnographic studies to diagnose sleep disorders, operating specialized equipment and providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sleep studies (overnight, home testing).
  • Set up and calibrate polysomnographic equipment.
  • Prepare and monitor patients during studies.
  • Collect and analyze sleep data.
  • Document results accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret findings.
  • Ensure compliance with AASM guidelines.
  • Assist in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide patient education on sleep disorders and testing procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting of equipment issues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility within professional scope as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Associate degree in Polysomnography.
