Polysomnography Technician - Full-Time Night

About the Role

Performs basic polysomnographic testing and initiates sleep therapies, including PSG, MSLT, and MWT. Responsible for pre-scoring sleep studies and conducting procedures independently according to physician orders and departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Conducts sleep studies following physician and departmental guidelines.
• Troubleshoots and maintains equipment.
• Ensures quality, artifact-free sleep recordings.
• Communicates effectively regarding patient, equipment, and issues.
• Obtains patient information and consent prior to testing.
• Serves as a preceptor for students.
• Adheres to infection control and attendance standards.
• Performs additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from accredited respiratory or sleep program or possess RPSGT credential.
• Certification as CRT, RRT, or RPSGT; licensure as required by state.
• Computer literacy with MS Office and data entry skills.
• Ability to treat adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
