Duties
- Performs various polysomnograms or other sleep disorders testing under the direction of the Sleep Center Medical Director.
- Responsible for attaching electrodes and monitoring patients and monitoring throughout the sleep study, documenting observations, collecting data, and reporting this information to the physician.
- Responsible for CPAP titration and oxygen therapy, scoring reports, and assigned quality and performance improvement activities.
- Provides patient education and follows standards, regulations, and policies set forth by the Joint Commission, CMS, AASM, and other regulating bodies.
Qualifications
- A graduate of an accredited polysomnography program and at least two years' experience in a full-service sleep disorders center are desired.
- Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (or be registry eligible).
- BLS also required within 30 days of employment.
- Must have the ability to work well alone for extended periods.
