Polysomnographic- Per Diem (Temple Hospital)

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including polysomnography, diagnostic, and therapeutic services or patient education.
• Sets up and calibrates all polysomnographic recordings and monitoring equipment.
• Applies sensors to patients and initiates sleep recordings.
• Summarizes data from polysomnographic recordings.
• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Produces high‑quality polysomnographic recordings.
• Performs transcutaneous pCO₂ monitoring.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
• Non‑degree program in Polysomnography Technology – Required
• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy – Preferred
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 1 year experience in a Sleep Disorders setting – Required

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support – Required
• PA Respiratory Care License – Preferred
• Regulatory Polysomnography certification – Preferred
