Responsibilities
- Comply with all internal compliance policies and procedures and with all external factors that impact the trading business (US, Nymex, ICE and other energy trading regulations)
- Report to Petrochemicals, LPG & Bios Americas Trading Manager
- P&L that include local and shared books with Madrid and Singapore offices
- Celebrate and promote Business development activities in all products
- Take the commercial lead for projects in the Americas that involves one or more polymers corresponding to the a.m. portfolio
- Coordinate with book leaders and traders from other offices
- Coordinate with commercial teams from other Repsol Business Units involved in the management of the commodities that fall under the responsibility of the candidate
- Coordinate activities with support teams (contracts, demurrages, back office, risk management, middle office) making sure all processes and activities of the desk follow best practices and procedures
- Optimize value chain for all the products
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the US for any employer
- No company sponsorships
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the polymers industry, at least 5 of them in a commercial or trading role
- Additional experience in other O&G fields will be valued (industrial plants operations, maintenance, safety, processes and plant optimization, product engineering)
- The willingness and ability to travel
- Experience in petrochemicals/polymers business development in America
- Strong knowledge of US polymers regional and international flows
- Strong knowledge of LatAm polymers regional and international flows
- Knowledge of olefins/aromatics interactions with polyolefins
- Knowledge of US olefins inland, well and pipe
- Knowledge of logistics and vessels operations will be valued
- Knowledge of refineries and chemical plants production worldwide
