Polymer Development Engineer

About the role

Intech is seeking a hands-on Chemical Engineer, Polymer Engineer, or Chemist to continue development and scale-up of advanced polymer composite materials for radiation shielding and additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Developing and optimizing highly filled polymer composites
• Scaling formulations from laboratory trials to production
• Twin-screw extrusion, compounding, pelletizing, and filament development
• Evaluating fillers, surface treatments, additives, and processing conditions
• Designing and executing structured experiments and material characterization
• Supporting 3D-printing trials and qualification of new materials
• Working directly with equipment suppliers and production personnel to transition R&D into repeatable manufacturing processes

Requirements

We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on experimental work and process development, not just theoretical or analytical work. Experience with polymers, extrusion/compounding, composites, or additive manufacturing is strongly preferred.
