What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and test libraries of modular sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways.
- Create experimental workflows and collect quantitative measurements, including GPC, SEC, DSC, HPLC, and FTIR.
- Collaborate frequently with the Metabolic Engineering and Synthetic Biology teams to optimize sugar polymer biosynthesis pathways in the production strains.
- Communicate methods and results both internally with the team, and externally with other scientists, industry executives, and academic researchers.
- Contribute to the generation and documentation of intellectual property.
Who You Are
- Passionate about sustainability.
- Excited to be part of a fast-paced startup.
- Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Material Science, or related fields.
- 3+ years of research experience in an academic or industry lab setting.
- Skilled in organic chemistry and polymer characterization techniques.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Quantitative data analysis expertise.
- Experience in biological engineering and microbial culture is a plus.
