About the Role
The Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences seeks adjunct instructors in Political Science for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning in the Summer term. Instructors will teach day and/or evening classes using various teaching methods and technology, including Brightspace learning management system. Courses may be held at multiple campuses: Berkeley, Dorchester, Mount Pleasant, Palmer, and Thornley.
Responsibilities
- Teach face-to-face American Government courses
- Instruct day and/or evening classes at assigned campuses
- Utilize technology and various teaching methods in instruction
- Employ Brightspace learning management system for course delivery
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Political Science or a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Political Science
- Submission of unofficial transcripts reflecting the minimum requirements with the application (required for consideration)
- International transcripts must be evaluated through World Education Services (WES)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous college-level teaching experience
- Proficiency with learning management systems and publisher platforms
