Responsibilities

  • Leading public and political outreach in your state and district.
  • Meeting with members of Congress/Government in your State/District/Constituency.
  • Representing The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events.
  • Aiding in fundraising efforts by creating a personal fundraising campaign and meeting targets.
  • Mobilizing individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.
  • Speaking to groups, classes and organizations.
  • Writing letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups.

Requirements

  • No prior experience is necessary.
  • Potential candidates should be passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs.
  • Qualifications

    • Open to all, regardless of GPA or background.

    Benefits

    • This is an unpaid internship.
    • College credit is available.

    Pay

    Unpaid.

    Schedule

    Part-time 12 hours per week for 12 weeks.
