Political Affairs Internship

Responsibilities

• Leading public and political outreach in your state and district.
• Meeting with members of Congress/Government in your State/District/Constituency.
• Representing The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events.
• Aiding in fundraising efforts by creating a personal fundraising campaign and meeting targets.
• Mobilizing individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.
• Speaking to groups, classes and organizations.
• Writing letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups.

Requirements

• No prior experience is necessary, but passion for fighting poverty and righting wrongs is required.

Qualifications

• Passionate about making a difference in the world.
• Willingness to work remotely.
• Ability to commit to a 12-week, 12-hour per week internship.

Benefits

• This is an unpaid internship, but college credit is available.
