About the role

EXALTA Group is seeking a Polishing Technician to join their team in Kenosha, WI. The role involves finishing and polishing precision medical device components to meet quality standards, customer specifications, and blueprint requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate polishing, buffing, and finishing equipment
• Polish stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum components to required specifications and surface finishes
• Grind, sand, clean, and finish parts using appropriate abrasives and polishing techniques
• Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and work instructions
• Inspect finished components using measuring tools to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
• Complete required production and quality documentation within the ERP system
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Follow ISO 13485, FDA, safety, and company quality requirements
• Meet production schedules, quality standards, and productivity goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of polishing experience with stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum (preferred)
• Experience in an ISO 13485 and/or FDA-regulated manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and mechanical aptitude
• Basic math and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Temperature-controlled manufacturing environment
• Exposure to machinery, airborne particles, and industrial chemicals
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Maintain focus and accuracy while inspecting and finishing precision components
