Polish Speaker Study Participant - NYC, $1,200-1,600
About the study
Mindrift is running a research study on how people use their phones, apps and everyday digital tools, and how that differs across languages and cultures. We're looking for native Polish speakers in New York to join a paid, 3-day in-person study in Midtown Manhattan.
Most technology is still designed with English speakers in mind. This study helps researchers understand how people who communicate in Polish actually use their devices, so future products work better for them.
Responsibilities
- Spend 1–3 days with our research team in Midtown Manhattan
- Walk us through how you use your phone and favourite apps in daily life
- Share examples of your everyday phone activity with the research team (you decide what's included)
- Fill in a short questionnaire about your habits
Requirements
- 18+ and currently living in NYC
- Native Polish speaker who grew up in Poland
- Use Polish in everyday life: texting friends, email, notes
- Have used a smartphone as your main personal phone for 3+ years
- Comfortable communicating in English
- Available for 3 consecutive days (Mon–Wed or Thu–Sat), starting October 16 on Friday
- Not currently employed by a tech or AI company
Pay
$1,200–1,600 for the full study.
Schedule
3 consecutive days (Monday–Wednesday or Thursday–Saturday), starting October 16 (Friday).
Participation
Participation is voluntary and covered by a signed consent form that explains exactly what's involved. You can ask questions at any point and stop whenever you like.
Great fit for international students, people new to NYC, and anyone between jobs or with a flexible schedule.
