Policy Analyst
About the role
The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) is seeking a Policy Analyst to join the Policy Research Unit within the agency’s Policy and External Affairs Division. The Policy Research Unit works to review, monitor, evaluate, address, and implement a diverse set of policies affecting the for-hire transportation industry and the communities it serves.
Responsibilities
- Conduct policy and data research and analysis
- Draft policy recommendations, memos, and reports and present those recommendations to senior staff and external stakeholders
- Analyze data relating to industry, mobility, and labor trends
- Conduct qualitative research through stakeholder engagement
- Track legislative, technological, and industry developments in New York and other jurisdictions
- Represent the division and agency in meetings with stakeholders and other City agencies
Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above
- High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above, with at least one year of experience as described in "1" above
